TablePress is a great WordPress plugin for importing spreadsheet data into your WordPress site. You need to flatten the spreadsheet into a CSV file but besides that it works terrific!
This is a tutorial I created for a customer. I hope he any many others will find it helpful.
If you are going to upload pictures it’s best to resize them to 1024 wide or 1024 high. It make them easier for people with slower connections to view, they load faster. If you are uncertain how to resize pictures consult your photo/camera program or we can create a generic resizing tutorial here.
Click Yes here
Go to Import a Table as shown
Select Choose File
Select the CSV file you created and click Open
Click Import, check settings as shown
Once imported scroll down to Pagination & un-check that box as shown
Click Save Changes
Select & copy, or note, the shortcode for the table as shown
Go to pages and open the results page as shown
Make a new line under the West Texas Team Trail heading (go to the end of that line & hit Enter) and add your table title. Click enter at the end of that line to make a new line for the table shortcode you copied or noted 2 steps back and paste or type it as shown. To insert pictures, make a new line (as discussed above) and click the Add Media button
Click Upload Files
Click Select Files
Choose a picture that you have resized to 1024 wide. To add more pictures make a new line for each and repeat the process.
When done you should have a page that looks similar to this. Click the Publish or Update button to the right. Check your work, you should be done.
